An in-depth analysis of fly casting including: rod loading, applying the mechanics of casting to various fishing situations, curve casting, single handed-Spey casts, adding distance, diagnosing casting faults, and much more. A day-long class involving a classroom session with AV presentation, demonstrations, and personal, hands-on coaching. For intermediate and advanced fly fishers interested in trout fishing, warmwater, or saltwater fly fishing.  Limited to 10 people.  Fee: $200, includes lunch.

About Ed:

Ed Jaworowski is an international flyfishing authority. He has authored four books and has served as editorial consultant for another. Recently, he teamed with Lefty Kreh to produce a comprehensive casting DVD, “The Complete Cast”, produced by Temple Fork Outfitters. His books and hundreds of articles, appearing in more than 20 different periodicals, have been published in the US, England, Spain, Norway, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Japan. Angling travels, lectures, and classes have taken him around much of the western hemisphere. Ed is a widely published photographer, and has served as consultant to several large fly tackle manufacturers. Lefty Kreh calls Ed “the best teacher of fly casting I have ever known”. He currently works as a technical consultant/advisor to Temple Fork Outfitters (Springbrook Trading Ltd.), testing and assisting with designing of rods and other products. He has been honored by several TU chapters, and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Museum. In 2014, he received the first Izaak Walton Award presented by the American Museum of Fly Fishing in Manchester, Vermont. In 2005 he retired from Villanova University where, as a Classical Studies professor and chairman, he taught Latin and Greek language and literature, Roman history, and Roman Law, for more than 40 years.
